I like Jerk Chicken there, it's very cheap and delicious. I have never
tried Jamaican food before and because of their Jerk chicken
now I am a fan. You can buy normal size jerk chicken meal at 3 Pounds
during happy hour (from 12 pm to 1 pm). The normal jerk chicken meal
is 3.80 and if you have big appetit you can order large meal too.
You should definately tried the food there. Local people love it! -

So i was a bit let down by Cummin Up. I was expecting a lot from previous reviews, granted I'm a veggy and didn't try the jerk chicken which most people rave about, but still.
The veggy curry with rice is a bit overpriced for what you get. It's filling and hot but there isn't a lot of flavour, its largely potoes, cabbage and onions, which isn't so interesting. £4.5 when chicken with rice is cheaper made me feel a little cheated.
Pair this with abrupt service and I feel like I'd rather go somewhere else. It might be a different deal for meat eaters, but if your aren't going to put the effort into the veggy options then why bother having them at all? -

Really lovely chicken soup, and a 'yummy' piece of carrot cake, according to my little sweetie. However a male owner/worker kept aggressively staring at me (it's a black on black thing, I guess...but not really something I appreciate). Hence two stars.

Cummin Up serves some of the best food you'll eat in New Cross. I highly recommend their jerk chicken fried rice, it's only a couple of pounds and is the perfect snack for the walk home from the station. The food at Cummin Up is very very good and there's a fair selection of options, as well as a fridge of drinks, all at ridiculously cheap prices. Not to be missed.

All I've eaten today is jerk chicken. And oh my. Did I save the best til last??? This place is about a fiver for jerk chicken and rice...very addictive and tasty!
